Abstract :
This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of self efficacy on the motivation to learn mathematics students. The sample in this study is all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 12 Kupang which amounted to 28 people. The data used in this study is self-efficacy questionnaire data and motivation to learn mathematics students from all students of class VIII. The data obtained will be analyzed using SPSS version 22.0. Before testing the hypothesis, conducted prerequisite test is the normality test for self-efficacy questionnaire data and questionnaire data motivation to learn mathematics students. From the analysis results for self-efficacy questionnaire data obtained Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,553 > 0,05 and Dcounted = 0,150 < Dtable = 0,250 then H0 accepted and concluded that the data is normal distribution. While the questionnaire data of students' mathematics learning motivation obtained by Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,736 > 0,05 and Dcounted = 0,129 < Dtable = 0,250 then H0 is accepted, and concluded that the data is normal distribution. Hypothesis testing using SPSS program version 22.0, after the data were analyzed obtained value of Sig. (2-tailed) = 0,000 < 0,05 and tcounted = 7,855 > 1,70329 = ttable then reject H0, so it is concluded that there is a significant effect of self efficacy on students' learning motivation. The results of this study showed that self efficacy affects the motivation of learning mathematics students. Therefore, the authors suggest for the teachers that in learning to better understand the self efficacy of each student so that students can get a good achievement.
