Abstract :
Transportation is a very important part of our lives, so it is defined as an activity of moving people or goods from one place to another and the facilities used to move them. Disabilities include people with special needs such as the elderly, pregnant women, children, sick people and parents who have children who will find it difficult to mobilize and access them independently, due to the unavailability of adequate accessibility elements for them. The purpose of this study is to identify the availability and conditions of pedestrian facilities for persons with disabilities, and to recommend the management of pedestrian facilities for persons with disabilities. Results The functional condition of all sidewalk facilities in the Kota Lama sub-district is poor and does not comply with accessibility requirements on public roads, and there are several recommendations as follows: Sidewalk Width, There is a need to free up existing barriers, so that the results of the recommendation width after the release can meet the requirements for the poor with disabilities, In the condition of sidewalks that are damaged, it is necessary to repair the pavement material or combine it with bright colored ceramic material, Slope of the Ramp, along the road it is necessary to provide ramps, especially at each intersection, as well as at crossing points, all sidewalks from the results of the study those who have TGSI availability are: 400 m and those who do not have TGSI availability are: 4900 m. For this reason, it is necessary to install TGSI for people with disabilities to direct people with disabilities.
