Abstract :
The design of the Auditorium building is motivated by the continued increase in the number of students at the Widya Mandiri University Kupang, it is necessary to have supporting facilities and capacities, namely the Auditorium Building. The purpose of designing the Auditorium building is to accommodate various campus community activities such as graduation ceremonies, dies natalis, workshops, seminars, exhibitions and others. East Nusa Tenggara Province, especially in Kupang City, there are several campuses, especially the Widya Mandira Catholic University Kupang campus, but the Auditorium building facilities are still lacking. With the existence of this Auditorium building, it is able to answer the problems that exist on the Widya Mandira Catholic University campus in Kupang. Using Ecology is a concept that combines environmental science and architectural science which examines the interactions between living things and the interactions between living things and their environment. The building is a dynamic, open system that always regulates the relationship between the inside and the outside of the building. The application of the Ecological Architecture approach to the design of the Auditorium building by taking sources from nature in the form of living things or those related to environmental insight, as the basis of the form and function of the building in the Auditorium building.
