Thesis title: Effectiveness of the use of self-management techniques through group counseling to improve student learning discipline. The problems discussed in this thesis are: (1) Why are self-management techniques through group counseling used to improve student learning discipline?, (2) What are the procedures for using self-management techniques through group counseling to improve student learning discipline?, (3) Is the use of self-management techniques through group counseling effective in improving student learning discipline? The aims are to find out: (1) the reasons for using self-management techniques through group counseling to improve student learning discipline, (2) procedures for using self-management techniques through group counseling to improve student learning discipline, (3) the effectiveness of using self-management techniques. through group counseling to improve student learning discipline. The research method is literature study. The object of study is self-management techniques, group counseling and student learning discipline. The results of the study in this thesis are as follows: the reason for using self-management techniques is because this technique can change the behavior of the counselee's learning discipline which is considered less suitable for a better direction by managing the behavior of students which aims to direct and manage themselves in order to achieve independence and live their lives. productively. The self-management strategy through group counseling is carried out through six stages, namely, the precounseling stage, the initial stage, resistant to transition, the work stage with the following self-monitoring strategy steps: rational strategy, selecting responses, recording responses, mapping responses, showing data, analyzing data, the final stage, and the post-counseling stage in group counseling. The effectiveness of self-management techniques is supported by previous research articles which prove that after being given a self-monitoring strategy, there is a change in the student's learning discipline behavior. Based on the results of the study above, the authors provide suggestions to: (1) BK teachers in order to increase their knowledge and skills in applying self-management techniques to improve student learning discipline, (2) Authors: to better understand and master the process of using self-management techniques to improve student learning discipline.
