Abstract :
Thesis title: the effectiveness of using the empty chair technique through individual counseling to reduce students' bullying behavior. The problems discussed in this thesis are: (1) Why can the empty chair technique through individual counseling be used to reduce students' bullying behavior?, (2) What is the procedure for using the empty chair technique through individual counseling to reduce students' bullying behavior?, and (3) Is the use of the empty chair technique through individual counseling effective in reducing students' bullying behavior?. The purpose of this research is to find out: (1) The reasons for using the empty chair technique through individual counseling to reduce students' bullying behavior (2) The procedure for using the empty chair technique through individual counseling in reducing students' bullying behavior. (3) The effectiveness of using the empty chair technique through individual counseling to reduce students' bullying behavior. This research uses a literature study study method. The object of the study is the empty chair technique, individual counseling, bullying behavior of students. Secondary data sources. Types of qualitative data. The results of the study in this thesis are as follows: the reason for using the empty chair technique is to practice communicating with certain people, by playing himself using an empty chair so that it can describe conflicts. The conflict that the researcher uses in this paper is the behavior of bullying on the perpetrator. In addition, the empty chair technique can also be used to help clients, so that they can do what they are responsible for in order to achieve personal maturity. The procedure for using the empty chair technique through individual counseling to reduce bullying behavior is carried out through 3 stages of individual counseling, namely: the initial stage of counseling, the middle stage and the final stage of counseling. In the middle stage the counselor uses the empty chair technique to reduce bullying behavior with the following stages: the preparation stage, the implementation activity stage and the final stage. The effectiveness of using the empty chair technique to reduce bullying behavior is evidenced by the research article by Dyastuti (2012). Based on the results of the study above, the researchers give suggestions to: (1) BK teachers: to further improve skills in using the empty chair technique through individual counseling to reduce students' bullying behavior. (2) Researchers: to further improve the scientific insight of guidance and counseling especially in studying various techniques of guidance and counseling.
