Abstract :
Catholicism is one of the 6 religions recognized by the Indonesian government. Catholic comes from the Greek katholikos which means universal. Catholicism is a Christian religion (followers of Christ) which has full communion and is centered on the leadership of the Pope in the Vatican. The Pope is the leader of the Catholic Church worldwide. In the Catholic religious hierarchy, the bishop is the supreme head of the local church, the pope is also a bishop but includes broad leadership. The bishop then has the task of uniting and bringing the people together. The Diocese of Larantuka is one of the dioceses that carry out the work of the Diocese in the area of the Diocese of Larantuka. As a manifestation of the implementation of spiritual activities, it is also necessary to have a sufficient place to carry out coaching activities that aim to facilitate every event or activity, which can also be used as a means of gathering people. This is supported by the existence of Larantuka City which has the nickname as the Vatican City of Indonesia. Planning and Design of the "Catholic Center in Larantuka" with a Neoclassical Architecture approach was chosen as the discussion in this paper. This topic is expected to be able to answer the need for an integrated center for pastoral, spiritual and religious activities for the Catholic religious community by presenting a Neoclassical nuanced building located within the Larantuka Diocese area.
