Abstract :
Increased passenger traffic is the cause and effect of good economic growth. so that the role and function of the airport becomes important and strategic. Thus the provision of new airport passenger terminal facilities is very necessary to maximize flight services in the Manggarai Regency and surrounding areas which are experiencing obstacles due to weather so that flights cannot be maximized. Frans Sales Lega II Airport is one of the design ideas that can be made as a fulfillment of air transportation facilities in Manggarai Regency which is located in Nanga Banda, Reo District which is a north coast area which has a distance of 60 km from the existence of Frans Sales Lega 1 airport. Nanga Banda's position in the coastal area and stable climate is an alternative for planning a new airport by applying a concept that is able to overcome climate problems, namely the application of the concept of Tropical Architecture.
