Abstract :
Unisono is a group singing technique with one voice. According to Purnomo (201633). Etymologically, the word unisono comes from the two words "uni" and "sono". The word "uni" means one and the word "sono" means sound. In unison singing, there are several techniques that must be considered, namely: breathing, articulation, phrasing, inspiration and dynamics. Dynamics is the strength of the sound and the dynamic sign is a sign of the strong and soft presentation of the sound (Soeharto, 1992: 30). Dynamics is one of the important elements in music, to show the feelings contained in a composition, whether it is cheerful, sad or flat so that it can be captured by listeners and enjoyed and become a beautiful sound. Basically, dynamics techniques have the aim of making songs more beautiful and lifelike, therefore to be able to apply dynamics techniques to musical compositions, especially to choirs. In this regard, the author found that several class VIII students at SMP Negeri 6 Central Kupang have the ability to sing well, but they don't apply good dynamic techniques in singing. As a prospective music teacher, the author is responsible for educating and developing students' creativity in improving dynamic techniques. Therefore, the author took the title "Application of Dynamic Techniques in Unisono Choir with the song title "Chiquitita" Through Imitation and Drill Methods in Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 6 Central Kupang. The research method used in this research is field action research with the aim of solving problems and improving abilities and creativity in order to achieve the researcher's goal of improving learning skills and applying dynamics to the song Chiquitita using the imitation method and drill method. This research method is one of the methods or steps taken to obtain accurate data.
