Abstract :
Kupang Regency has many natural tourist attractions for recreational activities, one of which is the Baliana Beach Area. Located on the outskirts of Kupang City, this beach is one of the recreational destinations that is often visited by the public, both from Kupang City and from surrounding districts. The Baliana Beach Recreation Area is very popular with the public, with its main attraction being its unique potential, which distinguishes it from other beaches in Kupang Regency. The natural beauty, calm atmosphere, and supporting recreational facilities make it a favorite choice for a vacation. Baliana Beach offers a beautiful natural atmosphere and environmental conditions that are still well-preserved, so that it attracts many visitors. However, one of the problems in the Baliana Beach area is the lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure to support community recreational activities. The limitations of these facilities can reduce the comfort and experience of visitors, and limit the potential for developing the area as a major tourist destination. To realize the development of the Baliana Beach Recreation Area, the design was carried out using an Ecological Architecture approach. This approach focuses on environmentally friendly design and utilizes the potential of the surrounding nature. With the Ecological Architecture design theme, recreational areas can be developed in a way that is harmonious with the environment, enhances the impression of sustainability, and provides facilities that support a recreational experience that blends with nature.
