Abstract :
The quality of water that is suitable for consumption is an important factor in maintaining public health. One of the water quality parameters to consider is the pH level, which indicates the level of acidity or alkalinity of the water. In Taebenu District, there are challenges in accessing information about water pH levels in an appropriate and integrated manner. This condition can have a negative impact on the health of people who rely on water with unguaranteed quality. This research aims to design and build a Geographic Information System (GIS) that can map the pH level of water suitable for consumption in Taebenu District to be recommended to the sub-district This research employs the waterfall method, which consists of the stages: Requirement, Design, Coding, Testing, and Maintenance. Water pH data was collected from various points in Taebenu sub-district using a pH meter to detect the level of acidity or alkalinity of water. Water pH data samples were taken from several sources, including springs, drilled wells, and dug wells in the region. The spatial data obtained includes the geographical coordinates of each sampling point. The expected result of this study is a Geographic Information System for Mapping Water Quality Suitable for Consumption Based on pH Levels
