Abstract :
PT. Djtoe Mesindo Batam is a company located in the Tanjung Uncang Batam area,
this company is engaged in manufacturing the S6000E electric engine. needs that
meet local and international markets. To find out the amount of raw material
inventory using the Economic Order Quantity (EQC) method for the smoothness of
the electric machine production process. Knowing the amount of raw material
supply (safety stock) needed by using the Economic Order Quantity (EQC) method.
To find out the amount of costs required when manufacturing an electric machine
using the Economic Order Quantity (EQC) method. The calculation with EOQ is
the amount of raw material inventory that can minimize economical inventory
costs, so that the company can determine the economic cost. According to company
policy, the calculation of raw material supply for the S6000E engine is 1280 pcs
while the EOQ method is 349.56 pcs. The total supply of raw materials according
to company policy is IDR 1,007,200,000, while using the EOQ method is IDR
22,942,357 , 45 by using the EOQ method the company parses the cost of supplies,
while the frequency of raw material packaging with company policy is 4 times the
order and while using the EOQ method is 3.66 times and rounded to (4 times the
