Abstract :
Family Involvement is a term used to describes how the family members of a business owner are actively involved in the business. PT Surya Buana Mandiri is a family business where the owner and his siblings are actively involved in running the company. The company experienced a decrease in sales for the past three years. Family members positively influence the performance of a company, even if the members are independent, only acting as an owner of the company, they can still have an indirect correlation with its performance. Data analysis methods used in this research include descriptive statistics, validity test, reliability test, normality test, coefficient of determination, linear regression analysis, heteroscedasticity test and T test. The samples are taken with random sampling method and the size of 83 samples are determined with Slovin?s formula. The data results is shown to pass the validity test, the reliability test, the normality test, the linearity test and heteroscedasticity test. The t-test result is t-count (4.139) > t-table (1.664), which means Ha is accepted, indicating Family Involvement have an influence on company Performance at PT Surya Buana Mandiri, Medan. Based on the findings, the recommendations for the company include giving family members more control, discussing spending with other family members, training employees, and opening a new product line. / Keterlibatan keluarga adalah istilah yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana anggota keluarga pemilik bisnis aktif berkerja di dalam bisnis. PT Surya Buana Mandiri adalah bisnis keluarga dimana pemilik dan saudara ? saudarinya terlibat aktif dalam menjalani bisnis tersebut.Perusahaan tersebut mengalami pengurangan dalam penjualan tiga tahun belakangan. Anggota keluarga dengan positif mempengaruhi kinerja sebuah perusahaan, bahkan bila mereka independen dan hanya bekerja sebagai pemilik, mereka masih mempunyai efek tidak langsung dengan kinerjanya. Metode analisis data yang dipakai di riset ini termasuk statistic deskriptif, tes validitas, tes reabilitas, tes normalitas, coefisien determinasi analisis regresi linear, tes heterosedastisitas dan T test. Sampel diambil dengan metode acak sederhana dan jumlah 83 sampel dihitung dengan rumus Slovin. Hasil data telah melewati tes validitas, tes realibilitas, tes normalitas, tes linearitas dan tes heterosedastisitasHasil t-test adalah t-hitung (4.139) > t-tabel (1.664), yang artinya Ha diterima, dimana Keterlibatan Keluarga memiliki pengaruh atas kinerja perusahaan di PT Surya Buana Mandiri, Medan, Atas dasar penemuan yang didapatkan, rekomendasi untuk perusahaan termasuk memberi control lebih banyak kepada anggota keluarga, mendiskusikan pengeluaran dengan anggota keluarga lain, melatih karyawan dan membuka penjualan produk baru.
