Abstract :
Bank have a big responsibility for economic development and financial institutions that function as a collector and public funds channel. Sometimes the function is misused by irresponsible parties either by insiders or outsiders who want to break into customers' accounts by various methods. This research uses normative juridical methods. Bank liability for bank customers who experience losses with account breach according Consumer Protection Law with strict liability, meanwhile the legal protection is regulated in Article 4 of the Consumer Protection Law and Article 29 Banking Law due to the prudential principles. Bank should offer proper liability and provide legal protection to customers whose accounts were breached due to the observance of the relevant laws, and compensation should still be given to customers who experienced losses by the Bank.
