Abstract :
Child protection in Indonesia is carried out by families, the state, society, and child protection institutions in Indonesia. This main instrument of child protection is regulated in the Child Protection Act. This protection is realized by the establishment of Child Protection Institutions. In its implementation, there are obstacles and require efforts to optimize child protection institutions so that child protection runs effectively. Child protection institutions in Indonesia have several obstacles in carrying out their duties to protect children. Among them is the existence of child protection institutions that have not been evenly distributed in all regions in Indonesia, the lack of understanding and participation of the community towards child protection in Indonesia, and others that will be explained further. Optimization of child protection institutions in Indonesia can be done by making comparisons with countries that have the best child protection in the world by looking at the child protection methods used.
