Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to explain the legal protection regarding the exploitation of children, the factors that cause exploitation of children, as well as efforts to overcome the crime of exploitation against children. The research location used in this research is Medan City, especially Simpang Sei Sikambing, Medan Helvetia District, Medan City. This research uses normative juridical research methods and juridical empirical research methods, where the data collected consists of secondary data and primary data. The data collection technique used in this research is library research andfield research. The approach used is the case approach (caseapproach) and the statutory approach (statuteapproach). In the case approach, the case used by the author is the case of child exploitation in Simpang Sei Sikambing, Medan where the Police have arrested five people who were suspected of having exploited the child on September 19, 2019. The result of this study is that protection of children is as a Basically, workers have been regulated in several formulations of the Prevailing Laws and International Conventions that have been ratified by Indonesia. Indonesia also already has a policy regarding the protection of child labor and their rights.
