Abstract :
Dietary compliance has been shown to affect the quality of life in patients with kidney disease. There are many factors that make low dietary compliance. For this reason, this study was aimed at analyzing the relationship between self-compassion and dietary compliance in patients with chronic kidney disease, especially during COVID-19 pandemic at the Cilacap Hospital. This study used a cross-sectional study design and was conducted on 75 patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis using the total sampling method. Data collection uses two questionnaires and one observation sheet. Dietary compliance in patients with chronic kidney disease during COVID-19 pandemic at the Cilacap Hospital is at the middle level. And compliance is not influenced by age, gender, education, income or self-compassion. However, there is a proven relationship with the length of hemodialysis. This happens because it is also influenced by other factors such as social environment, family support, or other diseases that cause urea levels to increase Keywords: Self-compassion, dietary compliance, Chronic Kidney Disease, Covid-19
