Abstract :
Coronary heart disease is one of the most common cardiovascular problems that cause death in Indonesia after stroke. This study aims to determine the relationship between health literacy and perception with coronary heart disease prevention behavior in at-risk individuals in RW 011, Mustikajaya sub-district, Bekasi. The research method used is descriptive analytic with cross sectional design. The research technique used is purposive sampling with a total sampling of 128 respondents. The results showed that there was a relationship between health literacy and coronary heart disease prevention behavior (p-value = 0.024) and there was a relationship between perception and coronary heart disease prevention behavior (p-value = 0.000). Individuals at risk of CHD are required to have good health literacy and a positive perception of CHD in order to be able to perform coronary heart disease prevention behaviors.
