Abstract :
Burnout incidents in nurses can occur due to several factors, one of which is factors that come from the work environment such as workload, small wages given, no appreciation from superiors, lack of human resources, and no rotation in the implementation of work shifts seen from dimensions of work shifts include work activities, shift patterns, shift time, work duration and shift breaks. This study aims to determine the relationship between Shift Work and Nurse Burnout. This study used a cross sectional research design with Chi Square statistical test at 95% CI using a total sampling technique of 25 nurses at Harapan Mulia Hospital. There is no correlation between nurse characteristics (age, gender, education level, years of service and marital status) with burnout, where the p value > 0.05. The results of this study found that as many as 48% of nurses experienced Burnout, but did not find a significant relationship between Work Shift variables and Nurse Burnout (p = 0.378). Burnout in nurses can be prevented by improving the work shift system or by providing an appropriate division of tasks. Keywords: Burnout, Nurse, Shift Work
