Abstract :
This study aims to find out how ASEAN roles in improving border security through cbtp agreement in Indonesia-Malaysia border area. The high crime rate that occurred and threatens national security and regional stability that will disrupt connectivity and integration formed during this time. This study uses role theory, regional cooperation and also the concept of border security with the use of qualitative methods in the analysis process to provide an explanation in descriptive form on facts related to ASEAN role in improving border security through CBTP agreement at the Indonesia-Malaysia border more precisely in Entikong area, West Kalimantan. The researchers found that ASEAN oversaw the passage of CBTP agreements in all member countries including Indonesia and Malaysia in the border area of Entikong, West Kalimantan. But in the implementation of this CBTP agreement was also found obstacles so that the application has not gone well.
