Abstract :
According to the World Health Organization, globally there are more than 1.35 million people die each year in traffic accidents. Between January-May 2017, the number of traffic accidents victims in Indonesia is 8,800 people, around the age of 15-19 years to find relationship between knowledge and experience to operate vehicles with safety riding behavior in youth at aa islamic vocational school. The type of this research is a descriptive-analytic study with a cross-sectional approach analyzed by Chi-Square Test. The populations in this study are 10th-grade students, at Islamic Vocational School AA Jakarta With 177 students of sample size, collecting by of a purposive sampling method. Based on the Chi- Square statistical test, find out that no relationship between age,gender, license ownership and experience to behavior of safety riding in adolescents at islamic vocational school. with value P value > 0.05. On the other hand, relationship of student knowledge with p value = 0,000 means, that is a significant relationship between knowledge to safety riding behavior in adolescents, at Islamic Vocational School AA Jakarta. There is a significant relationship of knowledge to safety riding behavior in adolescents, at Islamic Vocational School AA Jakarta , The researcher suggests to the school to work effectively with the police in purpose to give awareness and knowledge about safety riding behavior to adolescents.
