Abstract :
Cancer is abnormal cell growth and threatens normal cell health. This cancer can be treated with chemotherapy which aims to inhibit the growth of cancer cells that have spread to other parts of the body. The psychological effects of chemotherapy can cause patients to feel anxiety, stress and depression. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of anxiety, stress and depression in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. The design of this research is descriptive in order to describe or explain an event. The sample in this study was 63 samples through the purposive sampling method with data collection using the DASS 42 questionnaire. The results showed that 36.5% of respondents did not experience anxiety, 81.0% of respondents did not experience stress and 71.4% of respondents did not experience depression. The better social and family support, the lower the level of anxiety, stress and depression in respondents undergoing chemotherapy.
