Abstract :
Background: In Indonesia there are still nutritional problems found in the community, one of which is regarding nutritional status. A person's nutritional status is strongly influenced by their consumption patterns (Putri, 2015). In teenager, the need for nutrients has increased, but today many teenagers who have thin stature due to lack of their food intake, if it is left too long, then it will eventually lead to nutritional problems which if left unchecked will affect the future.(Ruaida and Marsaoly, 2017). Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and peer influence with the consumption patterns of teenage girl at SMAN 9 Jakarta. Method: This research is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples in this study were 69 respondents. The instruments used in this study were the Food Frequency Questionnaire, Body Shape Questionnaire, and Peer Influence Scale. Results: The results of bivariate analysis using the chi square test obtained body image results (p = 0.369) and peer influence (p = 0.481). Conclusion: There is no relationship between body image and peer influence with the consumption patterns of adolescent girls.
