Abstract :
The rapid progress and development of information technology, information technology transforms itself into various aspects of life. As now many institutions or agencies are utilizing information systems as tools used to support development and performance in particular in the aspect of education. The Institute of Guidance and Counseling at SMA Malahayati provides a variety of services to optimize the learning and development process and the character formation of students in schools. Among its services is the interest and tools uncover the problem. Student interest was conducted at the beginning of school registration. While the tool said the problem was implemented after students began to study in the first year. As for the output of students ' interest is the study of the class consisting of MIPA and IPS. While the tool says its output problem is additional subject matter outside the general subject matter. Additional subject matter is obtained from the problems faced by the students in the school. The problems faced by the students are identified by using the instrument (AUM) that has been established by the school. Based on the purpose of this design, the counseling information system is to help master BK to solve the problem of data collection, AUM test result processing, student interest and presentation of information that is fast and accurate. The system development method used is the Rappid Application Development (RAD) with object-oriented and uses the Unified Modelling Language (UML) system imaging tool. This research resulted in a Web application system of information based counseling systems using the Framework Codeigniter and MySQL.
