Abstract :
This research aims to examine the probability of pollicitally connected companies to skandal management the compared to private companies. The control variables in this study is return on asset, book-to-market, and firm size. The samples were 50 companies from State Owned Enterprises (SOE) and private companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the year 2017-2018. The sampling technique that used is purposive sampling and collected 100 data samples. Testing the hypotesis in this study used Logit Regression Model Analysis using STATA version 16. In this research, scandal management proxy measured by Restatement (REST) and skandal (SKANDAL). The result showed that (1) measured by REST showed that political connection has no effects on scandals management. (2) measured by SKANDAL showed that variable political connection has a significant effect on scandal management.
