Abstract :
Hazard Identification Risk Assesment and Determining Control is a identification of undesired events and evaluation of risks in working environment and giving recommendation of measures in order to reduce the risk identified. The purpose of this study is to assess the risks of firefighters work task in the Fire and Rescue Agency of South Tangerang City. This study is a qualitative study. Identification starts with classifying the work activities to set the boundaries of this study, continued with identification of hazards in each work activity to gain the hazard source. The risk of the hazards then being assessed using HIRADC. The results of this study is a list of 23 work activity, 6 low risk (Risk Matrix Value 1-4), 10 middle risk (Risk Matrix Value 5-12), and 5 high risk (Risk Matrix Value15-25). It can be concluded that the risks found in the work of firefighters are dominated by middle to high risk. Control measures recommended are based on the hierarchy of control which consist of the use of personal protective equipment, engineering control and administrative control.
