Abstract :
Pt. Dock & Shipping Kodja Bahari Galangan III is a shipyard that has products and services include 3 things, namely shipbuilding, ship repair, and non-ship. For maximum achievement and high production, must be supported by good and efficient resources and equipment. Likewise in shipbuilding. Many factors cause production delays, including the condition of production equipment. Job safety in the shipping world is also important and cannot be ignored. The safety of workers and equipment operators is a factor that makes the maintenance of ship loading equipment. To avoid major losses, production equipment must be carried out planning and scheduling maintenance so as not to impact on financial losses for the industry itself as well as the safety of workers or operators. The Company uses preventive maintenance techniques so that scheduling maintenance or maintenance on production equipment is carried out every 3 months to avoid large-scale damage and financial losses for the company, but if a production tool has reached the limit of the specified hour meter and damage has occurred according to the equipment operator, then an unscheduled inspection is carried out at the time of repair on all parts and units of the damaged equipment. Preventive maintenance is carried out, the percentage of damage to small equipment occurs in production accidents so as to ensure the safety of the operator of the tool.
