Abstract :
The pupose of research is find out students' perception toward applyong think aloud technique in learning reading. Perception is a creative process that involves much more than a simple transformation of energy by the sensory receptor. Think-aloud technique ia a technique which provides students to voice his or her thought while reading. This research is discriptive design.The populatian of the research is third grade at SMPN 1 Rambah Hilir in academic year 2015/2016. The instrument use in this research is to find students perception toward applying think-aloud technique in learning reading. In conclusion, the research that the students perception toward applying think aloud technique based on indicator of perception at SMPN 1 Rambah Hilir using questionnaire and interview. The percentages students perception are : opinion (76,50%), conception (76,00%),feeling (81, 50%) and the average percentage is (78, 00%) with excellent criteria.
