Abstract :
The purposes of this research is to find out teachers? techniques used in
teaching vocabulary at SD MuhammadiyahRambah. The sample of this research
was the English teachers of SD MuhammadiyahRambah, it was consisted of two
English teachers. The research used purposive sampling to determine the sample
of research.
This research was designed as a descriptive qualitative research, which
was purposed to describe the data objectively. The researcher used three
instruments to collecting the data, such as observation, interview and
questionnaire.
The findings of the research could be known the English teacher applied
various techniques in teaching vocabulary. In teaching the

students, teacher used object, picture, enumeration, gestures, translating the word
and drawing. While, in teaching the and
