Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to know the teacher direct feedback that
implemented in writing recount text and what type of teacher?s direct feedback are
used in the students writing skill of recount text . This research used descriptive
Qualitative research. The sample of this research was one of english teacher.
The researcher used the instrumentation in observation sheet and document
analysis. The researcher used purposive sampling. The main data was taken by
what the teacher?s did and said and what the students did and said.Then, the
students texts were analyzed to get the data what types of teacher?s direct
feedback applied in students? writing skill of recount text.
Finding showed that teachers used 4 types of direct feedback, there were
deletion, insertion, substitution and reformulation. the researcher found 67 types
of teach-er?s direct feedback. It was 37 Reformulation. Then, teacher only used 7
deletion, 15 insertion and 8 substitution. It concluded that the most dominant of
teacher?s direct feedback used in students? writing was Reformulation.
