Abstract :
Background Research entitled "English teacher?s implementation of scientific
approach in teaching recount texts in SMP N 1 Rokan IV Koto." Raised the issue of how
English teachers applied the scientific approach in teaching recount texts. This study aims
to describe how English teachers apply the scientific approach in teaching recount text.
This research is a qualitative descriptive study, using the object of research is an
English teacher. English teachers in this study amounted to one person. This research was
carried out with steps: collecting data, analyzing data and making conclusions.
Based on the analysis of the data obtained by the researcher, the researcher
concluded that the teacher already made lesson plan using scientific approach. And Ms.
hetti as English teacher already implementing the scientific approach as observing,
asking, experimenting, associating, communicating. The teacher also had implemented
well and be able to apply them in learning activities that he carried out.
