Abstract :
Based on research in MAN 1 Rokan Hulu, students learning outcomes in writing descriptive text class X MAN 1 Rokan Hulu. This needs to be addressed and improved. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of think-talk-write strategy on students' ability to write descriptive texts on class X in MAN 1 Rokan Hulu. The research method used was true Experiment design, Post Test Only Design.the data was Random sampling technique. The sample of the result to 42 students of class X. The control class was 22 students and the Experiments class was 20 students. The results of this Experiment show a significant influence in the final test using the TTW strategy. The result could be seen from Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of the equal variance assumed in the independent sample test table where the Sig. (2-tailed) was 0,000. It was lower than ? = 0.05 and it means that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted.The type of test used is non parametric test or mann-withney. The results could be seen from Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of the same variant assumed in the independent sample test table where Sig. (2-tailed) was 0,000. This was lower than ? = 0.05 and that means that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The result showed There was significant effect of teaching using a think-write-write strategy on students' expertise in writing descriptive text.
