Abstract :
COVID-19 is a disease caused by the Ribonucleic Acid (RNA) virus, namely SARS-CoV-2 with a particle size of 120-160 nm. There is no truly effective drug to treat Corona Virus or COVID-19 infection, but currently the government has conducted trials of vaccines for this virus and treatment options will be tailored to the patient's condition and severity.This study is an observational study with a retrospective design which uses past data, namely patient data in the period August 2020 - May 2021. The sample in this study used the medical records of patients at RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu and who met the inclusion criteria, totaling 108 patients. Data analysis with SPSS with statistical test Paired T Test using SPSS 25.The results of data analysis showed that the results of the Paired Samples Test obtained a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.023, meaning that it was smaller than 0.05 (0.023 <0.05). So it can be concluded that there is a difference in the average number of patients exposed to Covid-19 before and after being given the Sinovac vaccine at Dr. Hospital. M. Yunus Bengkulu. Vaccination carried out by RSUD Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu, starting from January to May 2021, the number of patients exposed to Covid-19 from January to May was fluctuating but not more than the number of patients exposed to Covid-19 before the Sinovac vaccine was administered.
