This study is related to the imageries dealing with alienation applied in William Wordsworth's ?She Dwelt among the Untrodden Ways? and ?The Solitary Reaper". Both of the poems have the same theme, that is, alienation. It focusses on two objectives of the study, namely, (1) to reveal imageries that describe alienation in ?She Dwelt among the Untrodden Ways? and(2) to reveal imageries that describe alienation in "The Solitary Reaper?. This study is in descriptive in nature. The researcher makes use of theories of meaning, imagery, simile, metaphor, personality and alienation. Moreover, structural and psychological approaches are applied to analyze the data. The data are taken through library research including internet browsing. Visual imagery portrays the beauty of Lucy. She is unique and rare. Organic imagery describes Lucy's life full of sadness and sorrow. Tactile imagery emphasizes Lucy's hidden beauty which is simple and modest from society. Kinesthetic imagery explains that the death of Lucy changes everything in the man's life. Lucy's death brings a great sadness of a man who admires her. The researcher finds out visual imagery, auditory imagery, organic imagery and kinesthetic which are imageries that show the maiden's alienation in ?The Solitary Reaper". Visual imagery portrays solitary girl who works in Highland.Auditory imagery explains that the girl is reaping and singing a song by herself. The man can listen to that the sound of music is melancholy. Organic imagery describes the girl's problems in her life. She may get depressed. She sings to express her pain. Kinesthetic imagery describes that the man seems highly influenced by the melancholy, sadness and wistfulness of the song.
