Abstract :
The objectives of the study entitled Gender Study on Nora's Rebellion in Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House are to (1) analyze Nora's rebellion in against gender discrimination in A Doll's House, (2) describe the effects of Nora's rebellions on the other characters. The writer applies the library research including internet browsing to improve the data collection in order to find the data. The data may be in the form of words, phrases, clauses and sentences related to the problems. The sociological approach is to describe the effect of Nora's rebellion on herself and her family, psychological approach is only manipulated to focus on Nora's character. There are two kinds on Nora's rebellion in gender as reflected in A Doll's House, firstly Nora's rebellion in gender role can be identified when she wants to be free from her husband's oppression and to have equal rights. Secondly, Nora's rebellion in gender identity, she begins to change her self conception. Nora's rebellion has effects on herself and the other charcters. On herself, she begins to make her own conception and independent. On the other characters, For example; Mrs. Linden and Nill Krogstad, they can help Nora to solve her problems.
