Abstract :
Mastery of English necessitates knowledge of vocabulary and good grammar. Students will struggle to understand the material unless they have a solid understanding of the language. Currently, seventh grade pupils at MTS Hasyimiyah Kalisidi are having difficulty learning and memorizing English vocabulary. In this situation, an effective vocabulary-learning method is required. With the use of exciting learning resources, such as Flashcards. The purposes of this study are to find out how flashcards are applied and the perceptions of seventh grade students at MTS Hasyimiyah Kalisidi about the use of flashcards in acquiring English vocabulary. This type of research used a descriptive qualitative case study. This research involved seventh grade students with 32 respondents at MTS Hasyimiyah Kalisidi. The data collection methods used were observation, questionnaire, and documentation. The data analysis technique consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, presentation of data, and conclusion. The results of the study state that in using flashcards students are invited to observe and memorize vocabulary according to the material. To complement learning with flashcards and multimodel are used. The average questionnaire response of 73.5% indicates that learning with flashcards is fun, easy, interesting, and helps students in improving English vocabulary. Based on the results of these data, it can be concluded that flashcards are able to assist English vocabulary learning to seventh grade students at MTS Hasyimiyah Kalisidi.
