Abstract :
Indonesia is a country with a tropical climate that is suitable for agriculture. Indonesia is known for being a fertile country with abundant natural resources, and has great potential in agriculture. The agricultural sector is the main supplier for the basic needs of Indonesian, as well as supporting sustainable and sufficient food needs. rice paddy commodity plays an important role in the national economy. Jember and Bondowoso regencies are producers of organic rice paddy. There are differences in the production between Jember and Bondowoso regencies that affect the yield of organic rice paddy. This research aims to identify the condition of the sustainability status of organic rice paddy farming in Jember and Bondowoso regencies. The method used in this research is Multidimensional Scaling (MDS) to analyze 5 dimensions of sustainability (ecological dimensions, economic dimensions, social dimensions, institutional dimensions and technological dimensions). The results of the analysis from the two regencies show that organic rice paddy farming in Jember Regency is "quite sustainable" with a score of 71,754, while Bondowoso Regency is "good and very sustainable" with a score of 75,216.
