Pengenalan Isyarat Abjad pada Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia dengan Menggunakan Metode Template Matching (Recognition of Indonesian Handsign Language using Template Matching Method) I Putu Dody Lesmana ST. MT. Ardhan Febriansyah Study Program of Informatics Engineering Majoring of Information Technology Program Studi Teknik Informatika Jurusan Teknologi Informasi ABSTRACT Deafness is a form of disability in human, where the person has severe hearing loss or cannot hear at all. To communicate with other people, deaf people use sign language which is taught from an early age in Special Schools (SLB). The sign language system used by special schools in Indonesia, based on Kepmendikbud Number 0161 / U / 1994 is the Indonesian Sign Language System (SIBI). However, SIBI is not taught to normal people, so not many normal people understand the sign language shown by deaf people. With the mobile-based sign language learning application made in this study, it is expected that sign language learning process for deaf people or even normal human become easier.
