Abstract :
The agricultural sector in national development plays an important role because it aims to provide food for the entire population and is a mainstay sector for the State's foreign exchange earner. The government continues to make efforts to increase the productivity of rice farming so that food security, income and welfare of farmers continue to increase. The increase in rice production and productivity that has been achieved so far is due to the use of superior varieties of rice seeds and the improving quality of farming such as soil processing, planting methods and fertilization. The research was conducted at the Jember State Polytechnic with a qualitative descriptive research design that examined the income analysis of ciherang rice seed farming. The data used in this study are secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the Ciherang Rice Seed Production Farming at the Jember State Polytechnic is feasible because the total revenue in the research area is Rp. 29,400,000 per ha and a total cost of Rp. 21,630,000 per ha. So that the total income obtained is Rp. 7,770,000.per Ha. The R / C ratio between total revenues and total costs of 1.7 is greater than 1, meaning that each expense incurred is Rp. 1, - then the farmer will get an income of Rp. 1.7-, Keywords :Rice Seed Production, Ciherang Varieties, Analysis
