Abstract :
Every year BEM changes its management, where the head of BEM is directly elected by the students. Prior to the direct selection process by all students, the selection committee for the head of the BEM was first selected by the election executive committee. The problem that I found was the lack of an objective criteria assessment by the committee of the candidate for the selection of the chairman of the BEM (Student Executive Board). And this keeps repeating itself every year. The problem that often occurs is determining the GPA value because most university students are more focused on activist activities so that they pay less attention to academic scores even though these students have the potential to become Head of BEM. With the Fuzzy Method, it is expected to be able to overcome the criteria problems that occur in the selection of BEM chair candidates at the University of Banyuwangi and students who do not pass the selection using the fuzzy method, these students have more potential than students who pass administratively.
