Abstract :
The security and confidentiality of medical record are very important factor in the medical record. Therefore, the patient's medical record must be kept confidential and secure. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors causing the insecurity and confidentiality of medical records in hospitals. The type of research used is a literature review. The results obtained in this study are less than optimal implementation of security and confidentiality of medical records in hospitals. In the results of the article review on the implementation of medical record security, it was found that 7 out of 11 articles (63,63%) other than the medical record officer entered the filling room. Furthermore, in the implementation of the confidentiality of medical records, it was found that 2 out of 13 articles (15.38%) of information released were still served by officers even though the patient did not show the complete requirements. Factors causing insecurity in the hospital are damage to medical record documents, there is no fire extinguisher in the filling room, the condition of the filling room is moldy, dusty, direct lighting on medical record documents, insects and humidity, officers who bring food and drinks into the room filling, medical record documents are lost and not available when needed, lack of storage racks for medical record documents and the arrangement is not neat, and there are other than medical records officers entering the filling room. Meanwhile, the factors that cause secrecy in hospitals are medical record documents brought by patients themselves, release of information without showing complete requirements, and leakage of patient medical information. The advice given regarding these factors is that the hospital should pay more attention to the maintenance and cleanliness of the filling room, such as spraying insects, adjusting the humidity of the room temperature, and giving camphor in the filling room.
