Abstract :
Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria) is a plant that is widely developed by the community because it is fast growing, easy to adapt, does not require fertile land conditions and its wood is useful for pulp, paper and carpentry wood. Efforts to support the optimal growth of sea sengon seedlings, it is necessary to have quality seeds. The quality of the seedlings in the nursery is directly affected, among others, by the conditions of the growing media. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK), which consisted of 4 levels of treatment. Each treatment level was repeated 5 times to obtain 20 experimental plots. The treatments used were as follows: soil/top soil, a mixture of top soil and husk (1:1), a mixture of top soil and cocopeat (1:1), , a mixture of top soil and manure (1:1). Parameters observed were plant height, number of petioles, diameter, wet weight and dry weight. The combination of growing media significantly affected the growth of plant height, number of leaves of Sea Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria). Keywords: Sengon, Growing media
