Abstract :
Energy is a force contained in a substance so that it affects the surrounding conditions and can be used for human needs. Energy has existed in principle since time immemorial and cannot be created or destroyed. Fuel oil holds a very dominant position in meeting national energy needs. The current composition of national energy is fuel oil: 52.50%; Gas : 19.04% ; Coal : 21.52% ; Water : 3.73% ; Geothermal : 3.01% ; and New Energy : 0.2%. Energy policy is intended to make the best use of existing energy sources, as well as to reduce dependence on oil. The Baladhika Husada Hospital in Jember uses a power source from State Electricity Enterprise and a generator of 2 MW as backup power in the event of a power outage. The lowest energy consumption intensity value is found in the front parking lot with a value of 0.0600 kWh/m2/year. The highest energy consumption intensity value is found in the Melati guest room with a value of 24.8309 kWh/m2/year. Hospital lighting systems vary. By adding the number of lights will get the results of the lighting value in accordance with the standard. The cooling system of the hospital is different.
