Abstract :
Building store as a provider of building material is required to fulfill building materials demand. However, there are difficulties in controlling the building materials demand. Fulfillment of building materials demand depends on availability of building materials stock. Lack of building materials stock will lead to the unfulfilled building materials needs. This research aims to create a forecasting system that is able to estimate the amount of the building materials that is needed. Simple Linear Regression method is applied to the system to predict the amount of building materials demand in the coming period. The result showed that the Simple Linear Regression method can be used to calculate the forecast value of building materials demand. Based on the calculation result of the system accuracy rate using MAPE, the smallest MAPE value is 0,211% for Iron (size 12mm) building materials. And the largest MAPE value is 6,518% for Red Brick (size 10×20) building materials.
