Abstract :
The services of dental medical record are still processed manually in Banjarsengon Public Health Center. This causes the difficulties of odontogram filling, the illegible writing, the incident of misfile, the difficulties to find medical examination history, and the delay of the reporting process. The research aimed to design and make the electronic medical record of dental unit through Visual Basic.Net in Banjarsengon Public Health Center. The data collection was from observation, interview and documentation. The system development used the waterfall method. The dental electronic medical record was made desktop-based using visual basic.net. The black box test results were tested by dentist, medical record officers and the head of medical record. It showed that the data system was running properly according to the design. The advantages of dental electronic medical record are that it can help officers to improve the efficiency of the recording system quickly and accurately, facilitate the process of searching data. This system automatically provides 3 reports including the monthly report of the most dental and oral diseases, the monthly report of UKP health care services, and the monthly report of UKP four most diseases.
