Abstract :
Retention and destruction of medical r fcord files are generally done every 5 years. The results of the survey on March 14, 2017 at Kalisat ]ember Regional Hospital Medical Record Unit (RSD) which is undergoing file retention process in 2007 until 2011, the retention will be done in 2016. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation retention and destruction of files at the Jember District Hospital of Jember. Medical recordfilesfrom 2012 to 2016 are still in storage. The type of this research is qualitative research with data collecting technique of interview, observation, and Focus Group Disscussion. The result of this research is got 3 priority cause of the top problem that is from human resource, funding, and machine. The most cause of the failure of the retention and destruction of the file is in terms of human resources so that determined efforts to improve the improvement of human resources in the medical record work unit.
