Abstract :
The filling room at the Montong Public Health Center are not ergonomic. The size of the existing medical record racks did not match with the officer's anthropometry, and document size, the current racks size takes up a lot of space and the room is cramped, many medical records are stored in boxes due to full racks. The physical environment in the filling room of the Montong Public Health Center are inadequate. The impact is comfort for the officers, with the condition of the room, the work becomes less efficient. The purpose of this research to analyze the physical environment, the need for filling racks, and the ergonomic design of the filling room at the Montong Public Health Center. This research used data collection techniques through interviews with three medical record officers, observation, and brainstorming discussions. The results of this research indicate that the conditions are not adequate. The state of the physical environment in terms of lighting, temperature, humidity, and ventilation measurement results are not up to standard. The light in cloudy conditions was lower than in bright conditions. Researchers visualize the ergonomic design of racks and filling spaces. Suggestions from researchers will need to modify the racks so that the existing space can store all medical records, it will necessary to add natural ventilation with iron bars and mechanical ventilation in filling room two, APAR, hygrometer, and a lamp in filling room two.
