Abstract :
Cucumber in Indonesia is popular and likely vegetable for all of society.
Cucumber productivity (ton/ha) in Indonesia from 2009 to 2013 . This was due to
less intensive and efficiency in cucumber culture one of the alternative that could
be done was application etephon. The aim of this research was to know the effects
of concentration and frequency of etephon application on production and quality
of cucumber seeds. The design used was Randomised Block Design with 2 factors,
etephon concentration (0, 100, 150 dan 200 ppm) and the frequency of
application (1x, 2x and 3x times). Data were analyzed by the Anova and tested
with the DMRT test with error rate of 5%. The results of the interaction showed a
very significant effect total of male flowers and the total of seeded seeds planted.
Significantly effect the parameters of plant height, total of female flowers and
total of fruit prepared. No significant effect on the parameters of the weight of
1000 seeds (gram), germination power (DB), growth speed (Kct), simultaneity of
growth (Kst).
