Abstract :
Steganography comes from the Greek steganos which means "hidden" and graphein "to write". Steganography is a science, technique or art of hiding a secret message in a way so that the message will only be known by the sender and recipient of the secret message. The media that are often used are images, sound, video, and other media such as text, html, and pdf. One of the image media which is the newest image format, namely the high efficiency image format or HEIF, may be used as a medium for inserting written messages. Based on testing the message system into a HEIF file which then after being encrypted it will be formatted to PNG which is then obtained several conclusions, namely there is a change in the size or size of the image caused by differences in different compression technologies of the two image formats. However, when described, the written message contained in the image remained intact and not a single word was lost from the image.
