Abstract :
Indonesia is one of the fourth largest coffee producers in the world after Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia. The level of coffee consumption in Indonesia continues to increase every year. The high level of coffee consumption in Indonesia indirectly encourages creative economy actors. The large demand for coffee in the market requires farmers to produce more coffee. One of the largest coffee producers and coffee producers in Indonesia is Bondowoso Regency. One of the obstacles to production is sorting coffee beans or sorting coffee beans. Because all the processes are done by humans who tend to have a weak point, human focus will be reduced. Therefore, this study aims to create an image processing application using the backpropagation neural network method through a digital image processing system that can help coffee farmers and producers to sort coffee beans in order to speed up and improve the accuracy in sorting.
