Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of giving extracts of betung bamboo shoots on the growth of pepper cuttings (Piper nigrum L.). This research was conducted in Jalinan Hamlet, Harjomulyo Village, Silo District, Jember from October 2020 to February 2021. This study used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) using 6 levels of treatment and 4 replications. The treatments were P0 = 0 %/plant (control), P1 = watering 10 %/plant, P2 = watering 20 %/plant, P3 = watering 30 %/plant, P4 = watering 40 %/plant, and P5 = watering 50 %/plant. The data obtained from the results of the study were analyzed using ANOVA and then further tested using polynomials and BNT levels of 5%. Parameters observed were live percentage, shoot length, shoot diameter, number of leaves, number of internodes, number of roots, fresh root weight, and root dry weight. The results showed that the combined effect of giving bamboo shoots extract had no significant effect on the stem diameter parameters at the age of 12 WAP and for differences in the use of the 5th internode location or on the 4th block, it had a very significant effect on the number of internodes parameters and had significant effect on the number of leaves at the age of 12 WAP.
